UAB Lead: Fall Leadership Conference

• The conference is an experience designed to support Student Affairs’ student leaders and student employees with an opportunity to:
  
  • Expand their foundational understanding of leadership
  • Develop practical strategies to overcome barriers to leading
  • Fulfill their leadership potential

This will be accomplished through three learning tracks used to guide the Conference sessions. The learning tracks include: 

-Practical Leadership & Professionalism
-Social Responsibility
-Critical Thinking & Problem Solving

• UAB students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to submit conference presentation proposals that align with one or more of the three learning tracks. The Presentation Proposal Form will open on September 3, 2019 and close October 11. Priority will be given to proposals submitted by October 4th and that include a student presenter.

• This intentionally designed leadership experience is supported by seven Student Affairs’ departments with the goal of:
  • Supporting student success
  • Providing added perspective from a variety of leadership lenses
  • Fostering divisional collaboration

The event date is set for Saturday, November 9 from 9:00a.m. – 3:00p.m. in the Hill Student Center.

Registration will open to all students October 1, 2019 and close October 25 (or until space is full).

Registration is required for attendance.
